Cllr Peter Milliken

Peter is a decorated war veteran, and retired teacher. He is passionate about disability rights and protecting our village from over development. He has lived in the village for over 22 years and has watched his 4 children grow up and flourish in our village.

Peter has worked all over the world and tries to use his experience to help others, he cares greatly about the environment and wants to make sure everything possible is done to protect the local wildlife, trees and hedge rows from the developers bulldozers.

He has a lasting belief in democracy and the rights of the people to have a say in how they are governed at local level. Peter is looking forward during his term in office to help and support the village in the difficult decisions that need to be made in the years ahead.

Cllr Jan Hudson

Cllr Jan Hudson

Jan retired from her job in the public sector and is keen to continue to support the needs of the local community. Jan is a volunteer with the community car scheme and was a member of the Easton Neighbourhood planning committee. Jan is currently vice chair of the parish council and a member of the finance team utilizing her skills she developed working in the public sector for South Norfolk Council.

Jan cares deeply about the local community and environment and is looking to give positive input into our community by serving as a parish councillor.

Cllr Mike Bowman

Cllr Mike Bowman

Mike was born in London but spent most of his childhood in Chelmsford after his parents had relocated there when he was 8 years old. His work then took him to Kent for 28 years. After a career move he decided to set up his own Decorating and Maintenance Company which took him all over South East England. Through this he meet and became the Property Manager for a Gentleman with properties both in England and the U.S.A.

On a personal note their son had moved to Norwich, meet and married a local girl, they duly had two sons, Grandsons for Mike and his wife. On retirement the decision was made to up sticks, move to Norfolk and join them to be close and carry out Grand parenting duties. In 2013 they brought what was to be their home in Easton.

Mike is very concerned about the impact for too much development on our village and has served on the Planning Committee and is currently on the Community Land Trust Committee. He believes that all the villagers should have their say in what happens and would encourage them to come forward and take an active part.

Cllr Mark Cordy

Cllr Mark Cordy

Mark has lived in the village for many years and has served on the parish council for a number of years. Mark cares deeply about the future shape of Easton and is keen to see any expansion of the village to be controlled. Mark served as a member of the Neighbourhood Planning committee and is currently a member of the Finance group.

Mark is activity involved in the maintenance of the village making sure all repairs to parish owned equipment is completed in a timely manner. He also works with Mike Jobling to ensure our grass cutting and maintenance contracts are carried out to our specification.

Mark has lived in Easton almost all his life and now lives here with his wife and two children and runs his own business.

Mark feels Easton is facing some of its biggest decisions to date and it is important everyone’s voice is heard in making those decisions.  He is passionate about improvements to community facilities and infrastructure as well as working to protect its rural feel.

He also feels the young people of Easton need representation in the changes that will be affecting them in the future.

Mike has lived in Easton for 3½ years with his wife Bernice.

Mike will endeavor to maintain the community spirit of village life. Mike has been tasked with utilising his skills as a manager to ensure that our village is managed and maintained to a high standard.

Cllr Gillain Landles

Gill is originally from Scotland but has lived in Norfolk for 19 years, moving to Easton in 2007. She is married with a young son who attends the local school and works full time as a Data Scientist at Aviva.

Gill is keen to represent the views of all villagers. Gill is especially interested in ensuring that our younger villagers are taken into account when making decisions that will affect their futures. She is currently a volunteer with the Friends of St Peter’s school.

Cllr David Lewis

Cllr David Lewis
David was born in Central London and after obtaining an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a successful career in industrial automation (automated test, measurement and production systems) and moved from Hertfordshire to Norfolk in early 1991 to live with his partner in Lower Easton.

In 1998 David retrained at the UEA to become a Mental Health Nurse working in the community. David has worked with large organisations like the City Council in securing and maintaining housing needs and promoting mental well being in the community.

David has since retired and after losing his beloved partner of 35 years in 2018 to Lung Cancer, feels he has the free time to give back to the community. He is keen to ensure Lower Easton remains part of the wider Easton community.
David enjoys country walking, gardening, gym, reading, railway and flight simulations on his computer and socialising with friends.
