Consultation On Boundary With Persimmon Homes

November 23, 2019 @ 14:00 - 17:00

Easton Parish Council would like to invite directly affected residents to a  meeting to hear your views on the specific issue of the planned boundary to your property being put forward by Persimmon as part of their proposed housing development scheme. We are holding two, hour-long meetings at Easton Village Hall on Saturday 23rd November 2019 at 2pm and 3.30pm and would welcome your attendance at either meeting to hear your views on the matter.  There will also be a half an hour general catch up session for all Easton residents will be held at 4.30pm on the day.
Within Persimmon’s latest design plans for their development, they have identified buffer zones of 3 – 5 metres between existing property boundaries and the new build houses. The Easton Neighbourhood Plan (ENP) stipulates that any new development should adopt a green zone buffer of at least 10 metres. This point was endorsed by 97% of respondents at the time the Plan was produced by Easton Parish Council. The full ENP has also been approved by South Norfolk Council and incorporated into its planning guidelines.  Further information on buffer zones can be found on pages 29/30 of the ENP.
A copy of the ENP can be found here
A copy of the proposed design code can be found here
Our response to the design code can be found here
Should you be unable to attend on the day but wish to voice an opinion on this matter please will you provide written submission to the Clerk before the 23rd November 2019.  We will then include this within the summary findings that will be discussed by the Parish Council at our next full meeting on Monday 2nd December 2019.
